So...what do you drive again?
Also this morning on my drive in was a squid and his Friend/GF/Wife riding bikes. He was in a light shirt, shorts and vans, and weaving in and out of cars at 15 over the limit (45 mph road). She was in leathers and halfheartedly trying to ride with him. He sped through a light and left her at a red...the look through her visor said “That dipshit and I will be having a talk later”. oof.
Lastly, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Pros: much less lag getting back on the throttle. Much less noise. Much less noxious gasses in my face. Forced “pit speeds” for yellow/red flags.
Cons: No left foot braking! You step on the brakes and gas at the same time and it cuts power to the motor? WTH?! Still laggy. Heavier Karts mean less grip.

That’s the weird part of electric karts

I’ve been electric karting a few times and decided I prefer them to most gas karts you can rent. Now if we were talking shifter karts or something, that would be a different story.
I think the no left foot braking comes about because I’m not entirely sure they have mechanical brakes. I think they just crank up the regeneration rate on the motor, you’d be surprised how much drag you can generate with all that counter-EMF.

“This is gonna be one of those talks where I talk and you listen”

Thats a good point, sure felt like brakes, but I sure didn’t see any discs.

Always wanted to go drive the electric carts to see the difference between them and the petrol versions as far as acceleration . Soon! That braking thing must be super odd doe

I was so mad, I was all, “dive into the corner, keep on the gas and....brrrrrrrb...WHAT?!”

You forgot to include “extremely passive kidnapping victim” to the squid’s potential passenger list.

Shifter karts are a whole different level. They are actually mini race cars. I really want to drive a super kart at some point. The are mini P2 cars, pretty much. Apparently my dad drove one when he was younger and said it was ludicrously fast.

You never know. Could have also been his sister. Or maybe his mom. Or maybe just some random person that hopped on. Squids are unpredictable creatures.

ah, I see the confusion. He didn’t have a passenger, the other person was on another bike.

Ah. Squid mind control? With the groups I've seen, that must be what it is.

Im pretty sure the link was a now strained relationship of some kind.

oh crap, i don’t know if I could adjust to that. I wonder if Formula E is like that

That’s awesome! Those superkarts are nuts.
When I was in Formula SAE we had a shifter for driver training. And by that I mean random hoonage. It was nothing like our formula car in terms of handling, power delivery, anything, really, but it was still a helluva lot of fun. Chassis was Birel I think, and I know it had a CKT Racing built Honda CR125R 2 stroke engine. That engine allegedly made around 40HP, and it was asbo-frickin-lutely nuts to drive.

A woman down the street from me drives this. Not quite sure what it is though.
